Storm Bert has wreaked havoc across Northern Ireland, with one County Down resident facing devastating consequences that will force her to take extended leave from work.
The powerful storm, which descended overnight, has left thousands without power across Ireland and brought severe weather warnings to multiple regions.
For Hannah, a mother in County Down, the storm's impact has been particularly severe, with significant damage to her home requiring repairs that will keep her away from work for the remainder of the year.
The destruction comes as Storm Bert, the second named storm of the 2024/25 season, continues to batter the region with heavy rain and strong winds.
Speaking to GB News, Hannah described the devastating impact on her young family: "It's myself, my partner, and we've gotten a dog, but we've also got a nine month old. And thankfully he wasn't in the house at the time.
"All of his toys, his playpen, his pram, everything's just ruined now. So I just don't know what we're going to do, to be honest with you."
The storm has caused widespread disruption across Northern Ireland, with multiple transport services affected and severe weather warnings in place.
