“It is one of the prettiest villages on the North Yorkshire Coast, famous for smugglers and fossils.”
One of the best things to do there, according to Weekend Candy, is explore the coastal paths and take in sweeping views of the ocean.
“Take a leisurely stroll along the Cleveland Way National Trail, which offers breathtaking views of the rugged coastline.
“You can walk from Robin Hood’s Bay to Whitby or simply enjoy shorter walks along the cliffs.” The area's rich history also has a lot to offer visitors, according to Weekend Candy.
“Explore the village’s rich maritime heritage at the Robin Hood’s Bay Museum," the spokesperson mentioned in the clip.
“Learn about its smuggling past, fishing traditions, and the lives of the people who once inhabited this historic fishing village.”
Robin Hood’s Bay is famous for its fossils, particularly ammonites and other marine creatures from the Jurassic period.
Visitors can explore this with a guided fossil hunting tour or simply wander along the foreshore to search for their own prehistoric treasures.
