The most searched for holiday spot among Britons can be reached in three hours from London
As the summer holiday season continues, the most popular places among British holidaymakers have been shared.
Turkey is the most searched for spot in the UK, according to new research.
The European holiday hotspot receives an average of 27,129 Google searches by Britons each month, data from Hellotickets found.
This may be surprising as it ranked way above Spain - which came in at number 10 on the list.

The most popular places could be a source of inspiration for Britons planning a last-minute summer getaway, and locations across the world made the cut.
Turkey has plenty of options for sunseekers, with Istanbul and Antalya often the preferred destinations. It also enjoys temperatures of between 25C and 35C in the summer months.
Antalya pairs breathtaking beaches with bustling city life, meaning there is lots to explore.

Commenting on the findings, CEO and founder of Hellotickets Jorge Díaz Largo added: "For Britons wanting to keep their costs low, Turkey offers a relatively inexpensive holiday experience, from flights and accommodation to food and activities.
“Compared to the UK, a three-course meal for two in a mid-range restaurant in the Turkish capital costs almost a quarter of what it does in London.
"Cape Verde is also extremely popular due to its warm, sunny climate throughout the year, making it an attractive escape from the often chilly and wet UK weather."
