The airline has apologised for any delays caused

Ryanair has issued a warning about potential flight disruptions to and from the western side of the UK today due to high winds.

The airline stated that flights scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, may experience delays or cancellations due to the impact of weather on aviation operations.

Ryanair has confirmed that passengers affected by the "disruptions" will be notified directly.

The airline is advising all travellers flying to or from the UK today to check their Ryanair app for the latest updates on their flight status.

In a statement, Ryanair said: "We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by these weather conditions, which are outside of Ryanair's control and affect all airlines."

The airline has information for customers if their flight is delayed by more than two hours.

Passengers facing delays will receive assistance at the airport, including meal vouchers, if their flight is delayed for two hours or more for flights up to 1,500km.

If delays extend overnight, Ryanair will often provide hotel accommodation and transportation between the airport and the accommodation.

Should this assistance not be offered, passengers are advised to keep all itemised receipts for any reasonable expenses incurred.

The airline advised that passengers should contact them before arranging their own transportation or accommodations.

For delays of five hours or more, passengers who choose not to travel can request a refund.

Passengers may also be entitled to compensation under applicable Passenger Rights Regulations, depending on the reason for the delay.

Ryanair has assured passengers that resolving all potential claims quickly is a priority for them.

GB News presenter Miriam Cates recently experienced significant delays at Gatwick Airport and shared her frustrating experience.

Speaking on GB News, Miriam said: "A few weeks ago, I had to take a flight. After I checked in, I was walking through duty free and I got a text from the airline saying my flight had been delayed by 14 hours."

Her morning flight was rescheduled for the middle of the night, forcing her to make alternative arrangements.
