Britons in Germany have been issued new travel guidance following yesterday's devastation in Munich.

On February 13, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) told holidaymakers: "We are aware of an incident in the area of Dachauer Strasse of Munich today (February 13).

"If you're in the immediate area, take care and follow the advice of the local authorities." The FCDO's guidance remains current today.

At least 30 people were hurt when a car ploughed into a crowd in what Minister-President of Bavaria Markus Soeder described as "probably an attack".

Police said a white car had approached police vehicles that were accompanying a demonstration of striking workers, before speeding up and slamming into people. The 24-year-old driver has been arrested.

A passer-by said he witnessed the incident from a window of a neighbouring office building. He said that a white Mini Cooper had weaved its way between the police vehicles and then accelerated

This occurred just one day before the start of the Munich Security Conference, which will be held from today until Sunday, February 16.

Just before Christmas, Britons in Germany were issued a warning in the wake of the fatal Magdeburg attack.

The attack, which left over 200 people injured and six dead, occurred on December 20 at a Christmas market.

Before visiting Germany, it's important to consult the FCDO's latest travel guidance to ensure a well-informed trip.

This will include the most up-to-date information on warnings and insurance, entry requirements, safety and security, health and getting help.

Before going abroad, it's always best to consult the FCDO's latest travel advisory for your chosen country.

Britons have been issued updated travel guidance as new entry requirements are enforced in Central America.

The update comes as Panama moves from a paper system to a digital one.

Holidaymakers were advised: "You must complete an immigration and customs declaration form when entering Panama.

"Whilst paper declarations will still be accepted during the phased transition to a fully digital system, the Panamanian authorities recommend you complete the digital form before you travel."
