Spain introduces HUGE fines to clamp down on ‘inappropriate’ British tourists

Some Spanish regions have introduced massive fines in a bid to clamp down on inappropriate behaviour from tourists.

Mogan in Gran Canaria has implemented several strict rules, which include banning tourists from hanging towels over balconies to dry.

Drinking in the street is also banned, as is tourists being in the street “partially naked.”

The rule includes those walking around in swimwear, as well as people who are not wearing a t-shirt.

Putting advertising leaflets on cars and setting off fireworks in public places are also banned.

Failing to comply with the new rules could lead to huge fines.

A minor offence could see tourists fined up to £657, while more serious rule breaks could see you fined as much as £2,628.

Elsewhere, the popular tourist region of Malaga is also set to introduce a variety of new rules specifically for stag and hen parties.

Such rules include banning tourists from carrying sex dolls or any items that either “represent genitals” or have a “sexual nature”.

While people could also be fined for wearing just underwear while walking down the street.

Tourists will be given the opportunity to stop what they are doing when stopped by police, but failure to do so will lead to a fine.

Such fines are expected to be around £658 each.
