Ryanair has added thousands of extra seats from the UK to Germany

Ryanair is offering more choices for Britons going on holiday this summer with extra seats on flights and 11 new routes.

More seats have been added to give Britons additional options if travelling for the Euros, but anyone heading to Germany can benefit from this.


The budget airline has added 11,000 extra seats to cater to a surge in demand around the Euro football matches.

New routes have also been added on a temporary basis amid growing demand, going from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.

Flights will run ahead of Scotland v Germany in Munich on June 14, England v Serbia in Gelsenkirchen on June 16, Scotland v Switzerland in Cologne on 19 June, England v Denmark in Frankfurt on June 20, Scotland v Hungary in Stuttgart on June 23 and England v Slovenia in Cologne on June 25.

Ryanair’s head of comms Jade Kirwan said: “It’s going to be an epic summer of football with the return of the Euros this June. To celebrate and make sure all footy fans can enjoy the Championship in person, Ryanair has added over 11,000 extra seats between Germany and the UK throughout June.

"This includes extra capacity on existing routes as well as the addition of several special one-off flights, including Edinburgh to Memmingen, Bristol to Frankfurt and Glasgow to Cologne ensuring that all fans can cheer on their team from a stadium seat and soak in the match-day atmosphere.

Holidaymakers looking to getaway this year can enjoy new routes with Jet2 to three "beautiful" destinations.

British tourists will be able to visit Tivat in Montenegro, Lesvos in Greece and Bergen in Norway.

Some of the new routes have already started to fly while others will launch between now and October 2025.
