Staycations are a great way to enjoy what the UK has to offer and the Lake District, Blackpool and the Cotswolds are often go-to options.
These were among the eight most popular staycation spots ranked on their affordability for those heading on holiday this summer.
The figures, gathered by RIFT, looked at various factors, including the cost of accomodation and the price of a day out, as well as how much it would cost for fish and chips or a pint of beer.
Eight locations were analysed and given a total index score to see which place sets holidaymakers back the most if visiting this summer. The lower the cost, the higher the index score.

The Lake District was found to be the most affordable trip, with the estimated cost of a family day out coming in the lowest - at just £33.
The most expensive day out was shown to be in Blackpool, with a visit to Pleasure Beach setting a family back around £180.
However, staycation-favourite Blackpool did have the cheapest pint - with a beer costing around £3.30, a far cry from the most expensive in Brighton at £5.90.
Short-term rental accommodation was the priciest in the Cotswolds, at £220.50, and the cheapest in Blackpool, at £158.60.
Those looking for cheap fish and chips could get them for £10.48 in Blackpool, with the most expensive coming in at £13.06 in Brighton.
MD of RIFT Bradley Post commented: “The recent wet weather might not be the only factor putting you off a staycation this year. Our latest index shows that with inflation having only just eased, the cost of everything from accommodation to some fish and chips is higher than it was last year.

This comes as the best beaches in the UK were named, with some being compared to parts of Spain.
