Flights from the UK to Jersey take around one hour

More Britons will be able to fly to Jersey as Jet2.com and Jet2holidays announce a major expansion.

The airline has shared its Jersey programme for Summer 2026, with a brand-new route from Bournemouth Airport to the Channel Island, as well as more flights from other British airports.

The expansion includes increased capacity from Newcastle International Airport and extended seasons from East Midlands and Leeds Bradford Airports.

This significant growth means nearly 50,000 seats will be available between Jersey and UK mainland airports next summer.

The development represents a capacity increase of more than 50 per cent compared to Summer 2025. The expansion aims to meet growing demand from UK holidaymakers seeking to explore Jersey's attractions with convenient flight options from multiple UK airports.

The new Bournemouth to Jersey route will operate from July 25 to September 29, 2026, with two weekly services on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Newcastle International Airport will benefit from additional Tuesday services from May 26 to September 29, 2026, complementing existing Saturday flights.

East Midlands Airport will see its season extended until October 10, with flights operating from May 24, 2026. Leeds Bradford Airport's season will start earlier from May 2 and continue until October 10, 2026.

The expanded programme offers UK travellers flexibility for both weekend breaks and longer holidays to Jersey.

There is plenty to explore in Jersey, and Visit Jersey states: "Escape to an island paradise in an hour or less by plane from over 20 airports across the UK.

"Some 48 miles of stunning shoreline, pristine beaches and epic hikes await, along with a fascinating history – from World War II relics to medieval castles and an ancient burial chamber older than the pyramids. Whether you’re here to recharge or roam free, Jersey offers year-round beauty and over 540 places to dine and drink."

Jet2holidays also provides a range of three- to five-star accommodation options across Jersey's popular areas including Grouville, St Helier and St Brelade's Bay.

Jersey, located between Britain and France, offers aquamarine waters and vast stretches of white sand beaches just a short distance from the UK.

"The addition of this brand-new and exclusive route from Bournemouth Airport, on top of additional capacity and extended seasons across three other UK bases, means we are offering a great choice of flights departing from four of our UK airports next summer.
