The airline and tour operator already fly to Bodrum from 11 UK bases

Jet2 and Jet2holidays have extended their summer season to Bodrum following continued demand for travel to the Turkish coast.

The airline and tour operator have added flights from four UK bases today, meaning the companies will operate to Bodrum right through to mid-November.

This will give customers and independent travel agents a rare opportunity to book later in the season.

The extension also means Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will be the only companies operating to and from Bodrum beyond early November from outside London.

The airline and tour operator already fly to Bodrum from 11 UK bases, including newly added routes from Belfast International and Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The flying programs give customers and independent travel agents extensive choices when it comes to accessing resorts such as Bodrum, Altinkum, Gumber and Bitez.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Bodrum has always been a firm favourite with holidaymakers and it is not hard to see why when you experience its incredible resorts, hotels, cuisine, history and climate.

“This summer has seen Bodrum enjoy great demand from our customers, so we are delighted to be extending the summer season to give customers and independent travel agents even more choices.

“We have worked in partnership with hoteliers to ensure there are fantastic accommodation options available right through to mid-November and we are looking forward to filling these hotels and happy holidaymakers on our award-winning holidays.”

According to Turkey Travel Planner, the Bodrum Peninsula, extending west into the Aegean Sea and bordering the Mediterranean, has a dozen resort towns and villages along its stores, including the famous Bodrum.

“Luckily, all are easily accessible. Once you arrive at Bodrum Airport, you will find many transportation options, from bus to rental car or even private tour.”

Each of the towns along the Turquoise Coast has its own beaches and hotels, among other attractions.

“Although Bodrum was Turkey's original south Aegean seaside resort and has the richest history on the peninsula with its crusader castle and Mausoleum, other villages along the Turkish Riviera are becoming almost as well-known.”

According to the Foreign Office, holidaymakers travelling to Turkey must ensure their passport is valid for at least 150 days from the date they arrive.

“If entering Turkey through a land border, make sure your passport has a dated entry stamp before you leave the border crossing,” it adds.
