The flights will reach the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands every week

Jet2.com and Jet2Holidays have added 20 new destinations on sale for Summer ‘24 departing from Liverpool.

The UK’s third-largest airline and largest tour operator will link John Lennon Airport to some of Europe’s sunniest spots.

The move comes off the back of enormous demand from customers and independent travel agents across the region.

The programme will also include seven destinations exclusive to Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, from Liverpool.

The tour operator and airline will operate up to 54 weekly flights in the first week of their summer services.

This will include 12 flights to both the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands every week.

Customers will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of additional destinations across mainland Spain.

They will also be able to reach the following sunny destinations from Liverpool:

  • Canary Islands
  • Balearic Islands
  • Greece
  • Turkey
  • Bulgaria
  • Portugal
  • Madeira
  • Cyprus

The operations will mark the airline’s first from Liverpool, with 565,000 seats to go up for sale.

The programme will include several exclusive summer routes to Gran Canaria, Menorca, Rhodes, Zante, Madeira, Paphos and Bourgas (Bulgaria).

James Pieslak, from Jet2’s press office, said: “We expected a great response based on the demand we knew was out there.

“That said, the actual reaction surpassed all our expectations. If you look at our track record, we go from strength to strength when we launch a new UK airport base and that’s very much the case at Liverpool already.”

It comes as Britons travelling with young ones will soon benefit from the airline's latest initiative, Free Child Place holidays, launching in 2025.

Free Child Place ages will depend on the hotel selected as part of the package holiday. The maximum child age can be found on the accommodation page on the Jet2holidays website.

Jet2 said: "As families look to book their holidays in the sunshine, Jet2holidays, the UK's largest tour operator, has added a Free Child Place holiday onto every flight for Summer 25, meaning there are millions of Free Child Place holidays available across this summer and next summer.

"These new additions come on top of millions of Free Child Place Holidays that are already available and meant that Jet2holidays now has more Free Child Place holidays available than ever before."

The package holiday provider explains that when two full-paying passengers book a room, one child can holiday for no extra cost.

This means they can fly, pack their favourite toys, enjoy return hotel transfers and stay and play for free.
