The decision to move overseas is as tempting as it is daunting, so looking to others for advice is a useful way to decide if the move is right.
One woman shared her experience after upping her life to the Netherlands and explained the small community meant it quickly felt like home.
She explained she had lived in Limburg, Netherlands, for just months before it started to feel comfortable.
Speaking on YouTube, expat Lauren Meyer said: "The number one [best] thing is living in a small community. I have been living here for just about five months now.

"[My area] has a population of roughly 40,000 so nothing too big but large enough to have access to everything you need."
A common concern for expats before they move away is that they will miss their family and friends, or struggle to fit into a new community.
However, Lauren's experience was completely different and she said it quickly "felt like home" as she began to recognise those who were around her.
This has also given her a sense of security. She continued: "My favourite part about living in a small community is that I always feel safe.
"Mostly everyone has been extremely helpful and kind to me, and even though I've only been here for a few short months, I've already begun to recognise people.
"Seeing people around town that I knew was ultimately what started to make this place feel more like home."
Another perk of moving Lauren discovered is being so close to other European countries, meaning trips away are "affordable" and easy to do.
She continued: "It's extremely close to Belgium and Germany, and not far from France, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Italy.
