European destination with ‘sublime tropical climate’ sees 12% rise in UK flights with four new direct routes
This expansion adds to Madeira's already excellent connectivity from across the UK

Madeira will become even more accessible for UK travellers this summer, with a significant boost in in-flight connections.
The Portuguese island will see a 12 per cent increase in weekly flights between March and October 2025.
The newly released flight schedule reveals that weekly summer flights will increase from 349 in 2024 to 390 in 2025.
Four new direct services will launch from Luton, Bournemouth and Edinburgh, offering greater convenience for British holidaymakers.

The expansion will run throughout the summer season from March 30 to October 25, 2025.
Jet2 will introduce a new weekly service from Bournemouth, departing on Thursdays from May, with a flight time of 3 hours and 40 minutes to Funchal.
From Edinburgh, Ryanair will operate twice-weekly flights on Wednesdays and Sundays, connecting Scotland's capital with Madeira in just 4 hours.
Luton will see expanded services from both easyJet and Jet2. Jet2 will offer a weekly Monday flight throughout the summer season.
EasyJet will launch two additional services in June, with departures on Mondays and Fridays. The Luton to Funchal flight time is approximately four hours.
The island currently enjoys a range of regional services from Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, Jersey, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle. Multiple services also operate from London Gatwick, Stansted and Luton.
UK visitors will have even greater ease in exploring the island's attractions throughout the summer season.
The new flight schedule is based on data collected from various public sources including IATA, SABRE and airline websites.
