easyJet has announced it will be launching a new base in the UK, which will see the introduction of six new routes across Europe and beyond.
Holidaymakers will be able to fly easyJet from London Southend Airport as of 2025.
Currently, easyJet has UK bases in Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Belfast International Airport, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Manchester Airport, Birmingham Airport, Bristol Airport, London Luton Airport and London Gatwick Airport.
While easyJet planes are already flying out of London Southend Airport, a base means that three aircraft will remain there permanently.
