British Airways expands global network by relaunching routes to 2 'key destinations'
The carrier also announced it will add three additional Italian destinations to its route map in May

British Airways has expanded its global network this week by relaunching routes to Kuala Lumpur and Tbilisi, marking a significant milestone in reconnecting the UK with both regions.
The flag carrier touched down in Kuala Lumpur for the first time in five years, with the inaugural flight departing London Heathrow on April 1.
The airline has also welcomed Tbilisi back into its route network, after its last scheduled service to the Georgian capital in 2013.
The daily service to Kuala Lumpur is operated by British Airways' Boeing 787-900 fleet, offering four cabin classes: World Traveller, World Traveller Plus, Club World and First.

PAReturn fares start from £574, with passengers on the inaugural flight receiving goodie bags and special gifts upon arrival.
The airline has expanded its codeshare partnership with Malaysia Airlines, providing customers with seamless connections to more than 17 routes from Kuala Lumpur to destinations across Asia Pacific and Oceania.
The service to Tbilisi departed London Heathrow on March 30, landing at Tbilisi International Airport the following day.
Passengers can choose between two cabins - Club Europe and Euro Traveller - with return fares starting from £244.
Georgia, located at the crossroads where Europe meets Asia, is known for its rich history, vibrant culture and traditional cuisine.
The country is also recognised as the birthplace of wine, with an 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition.
British Airways' Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, Neil Chernoff, said: "We're delighted to welcome Malaysia and Georgia back to our network, both of which are two key destinations that our customers know and love.
"Our teams have worked hard to bring these routes firmly back on our route map, meaning customers have more choice when it comes to travel for work or pleasure across Europe, Asia and beyond.

PABritish Airways is also increasing its London Heathrow to Tokyo Haneda service to twice daily from March 30, 2025, offering 14 flights weekly.
Some of these flights will be operated by the airline's A350 fleet featuring the latest Club Suite business class seat.
In May, the carrier will add three new Italian destinations: Rimini from Heathrow, Salerno from Gatwick, and Olbia from London City.
This will bring British Airways' total Italian destinations to 19, more than any other European country on its network.
