The cooler temperatures don't mean you need to give up staycations for the year, as Britain has been ranked the best country for an outdoor holiday.
If you are looking to travel outside the UK, the top spots from across the world have been listed.
This is according to research by Titan Travel which revealed the best countries for an outdoor adventure.
The research was based on factors such as the number of hiking trails, canoe and kayak trails, walking tours and overall outdoor destination score.

The expert stated: "The UK scores highly across all categories, ranking in the top five for three categories: walking tours, hiking trails and canoe and kayak trails.
"The UK boasts incredible scenery, several national parks and plentiful campsites, making it a wonderful place to adventure in, no matter what you want to do."
There are many places to choose for a UK break and experts shared the city that ranked top for the most "viral" staycation spots.
For those looking further afield, Spain was second on the list. This is a popular holiday destination year-round and is no different for an outdoor adventure, according to the research.
The experts added: "Spain is the second-best country for an outdoor holiday, with an outdoor destination score of 8.52 out of 10.
"It is packed with national parks, beautiful mountains and stunning scenery; from the mountains of the Pyrenees to the nature reserves of the Asturias to the Picos de Europa.

France came in third place and it has many beautiful places to see during an outdoor adventure.
The experts said: "France completes our top three with an outdoor destination score of 8.32 out of 10. France boasts beautiful lakes and rivers, such as the Ardeche River, which is great for paddleboarding or canoeing, with almost 60 trails for these sports.
"If you prefer hiking, France also has more than 30,000 hiking trails where you can enjoy breathtaking mountains and scenery."
