The world is full of beautiful beaches and many Britons will jet off on holiday to discover what other countries have to offer.
However, some of the best beaches in the world can actually be found in the UK, according to a recent report.
Two British beaches made it onto the top 50 list compiled by Big 7 Travel.
Pedn Vounder beach in Cornwall was the highest ranking UK beach, taking the number 25 spot worldwide.

This was followed by another UK beach on the list - Rhossili Bay in Swansea, Gower, which ranked at number 42.
Cornwall is known for its stunning landscape and Britons have shared their appreciation for the beach at Pedn Vounder.
It has an impressive 4.5 out of 5 stars on Tripadvisor and it has garnered many positive reviews.
Many shared their praises but gave a warning of steep cliffs that require a bit of a climb.
Posting on Tripadvisor, one tourist wrote: "Beautiful unspoiled beach, much quieter than other beaches because it is not easy to get to - the last bit requires you to climb, literally."
They added: "If you’re up for the climb then 100 per cent recommend a visit."
Another added the beach is "totally amazing" but "you need to be pretty fit, mobile and able to descend down a cliff face to access".
No British beaches made the top 10, and White Beach in the Philippines took the top spot across the world.
