Stunning beaches can be found across the world, but holidaymakers need not leave the UK to find some of the best beaches in Europe.
In a recent list, four British beaches ranked among the best on the continent.
Tripadvisor's Travellers' Choice 'Best of the Beach' Beaches in Europe included some stunning UK locations.
Gorleston-on-Sea beach in Gorleston-on-Sea was the highest-ranked UK beach and came 12th across Europe.
Bournemouth beach made the top 25 list

The beach has an impressive 4.5 stars out of 5 on Tripadvisor and has received thousands of positive reviews.
One reviewer stated: "A vast beautiful sandy beach with only a few other visitors, it has a lot of shops a cafe, bar, bucket and spade shop and restaurant.
"So quiet and relaxing and good to see it got rewarded for best beach."
Another agreed, stating: "Beautiful uncommercialised beach lovely golden sands and nice chip shop."
They added it was the "perfect place" to go with young children and that they would definitely revisit.
One more said: "Gorleston Beach; the hidden gem of Norfolk. The secret is out!
"Wonderful, traditional cliff-top promenade walk with great panoramic views to Lowestoft and beyond."
Weymouth beach came in at number 14, Fistral beach in Newquay ranked number 22 and Bournemouth beach came in at number 24.
