The best beach in the UK got an impressive 88 per cent approval rating
The best areas were rated on the value for money, scenery, attractions and beaches on offer.
It has now confirmed only seven beaches received a full five stars for their beaches. Bamburgh Beach in Northumberland scored the best of these in the Which? survey.
This was closely followed by Tynemouth and St Andrews, that both scored 83 per cent.
Tenby and Filey were next, both at 79 per cent, and were followed by Frinton-on-Sea (78 per cent) and Aberdovey (75 per cent).

Bamburgh beach has also gained popularity among tourists on TripAdvisor.
It has an outstanding rating of five out of five stars.
Reviewers commented on the facilities and scenery.
One wrote: "Bamburgh is a beautiful village to visit. It has numerous cafes and a few pubs to choose from."
Another added: "This was our first time to Bamburgh and what an amazing place."
One more tourist described it as a "wonderful stretch of coastline and a charming town".
St Andrews was the highest ranking beach in Scotland and it has a Tripadvisor rating of 4.5 out of five.
One guest described it as a "stunning beach" while another praised it for being "very nice and clean".
