Virgin Media is offering a video doorbell and security camera bundle from Eufy worth over £395 for free to anyone who signs up to select broadband and telly bundles. If you already own home security kit from Eufy — or one of its rivals, like Ring — then Virgin Media will substitute the giveaway with £150 in bill credit.
And that's not all.
Virgin Media has waived its usual £35 set-up fee. This is designed to cover the cost of any maintenance or engineer call-outs throughout the duration of the 18-month contract. Not only that, but anyone who signs-up to a broadband and television bundle will benefit from the 11 channels added by Virgin Media at no cost.
The latest flash sale from Virgin Media couldn't come at a better time, with the new one-touch switchover system set to launch on the final day of the giveaway. This nifty new process will finally ensure that switching from the likes of BT, EE, Sky Broadband, TalkTalk, and Plusnet over to Virgin Media will be much easier.
Outside of BT-owned Openreach, Virgin Media is the single biggest full-fibre broadband operator in the UK, with over 16 million homes and businesses connected to its gigabit-capable internet cables
VIRGIN MEDIA PRESS OFFICEThis blockbuster home security bundle isn't available with every bundle in the Virgin Media line-up.
The Eufy camera and video doorbell is limited to Virgin Media bundles that combine TV with its full-fibre broadband. Virgin Media, which recently ranked as the most reliable broadband supplier in the country, is available in some 16 million homes and businesses across the UK. Its pay-TV service, which is delivered via the same fibre-optic cables as its broadband, is in direct competition with Sky and the newly-relaunched EE TV.
With a Eufy video doorbell fitted, you'll be notified when someone rings or knocks on your door. A preview of the person at the door will be sent to your iPhone or Android smartphone anywhere in the world. You can then chat in real-time using the built-in microphone and speaker.
You can keep tabs on any suspicious activity — and ensure nobody steals any deliveries left on the doorstep when you're away. When the sun goes down, Eufy has included night-vision support to peer into the gloom.
The security camera works in tandem with the video doorbell, so you can keep tabs on your property from multiple angles when you're away from home. Recordings can be saved to local storage or backed-up to the cloud to be accessed from anywhere, although Eufy charges a subscription for cloud storage.
Eufy has a unique dual-camera design that lets you peer straight ahead to check the identity of the person at your door, as well as keep tabs on parcels and packages and other items on the doorstep

If you're not looking for home security kit, Virgin Media will offer £150 bill credit instead. This is automatically deducted from your bills each month until you've used the allowance. Depending on the cost of the broadband and TV package that you've selected, that £150 windfall could mean you don't have anything to pay for the first three to four months of your new contract.
Whether you're tempted by the Eufy video doorbell and camera worth £395.98 or £150 off bills, you'll need to take action fast.
The flash sale from Virgin Media is only available until 11:59pm on September 12, 2024.
Unfortunately, if you're already a Virgin Media user, you'll not be eligible for this generous giveaway as it's only available to new customers. If you've used Virgin Media in the past, you might be able to claim the freebie if you've been away long enough to be considered a new customer.
Following a shake-up from Sky Broadband earlier this year, Virgin Media is now one of the only broadband providers that still offers an 18-month minimum contract term for its TV and broadband plans. That means you'll be able to renegotiate a new deal or upgrade to more channels and faster speeds sooner.

Live and on-demand television will be available via the Virgin TV 360 box, the latest set-top box from the company with support for 4K Ultra HD picture quality, voice search to quickly find the show, actor or director that you're looking for — across linear channels and libraries from your favourite streaming apps. Virgin Media has its own nationwide broadband network, which is available in over 16 million homes. It's completely separate from BT-owned Openreach, which is used by broadband suppliers like BT, EE, Sky, TalkTalk, and Plusnet to connect customers to the internet.
Switching from an Openreach-operated broadband connection to Virgin Media will become infinitely easier in the coming days as rival telecom brands have agreed to adopt a new so-called "one touch" system that will bring parity across all full-fibre networks in the UK for the first time.
Virgin Media uses a different technology, which offers download speeds of over 1,100Mbps at every address on its network. In comparison, Openreach is halfway through planned upgrades to connect millions of properties to next-generation full-fibre broadband.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
All Virgin Media customers will be supplied with a Wi-Fi router compatible with the latest Wi-Fi 6 wireless standard, something that's only recently come to Vodafone customers — and is stillmissing for millions of BT broadband customers across the UK.
