Sky Glass updated with hundreds of new shows ...at a cost

Reality TV fans rejoice! Sky has struck a deal with Hayu to bring hundreds of boxsets to its service
Sky has added a new streaming service to Sky Glass and Sky Stream – unlocking thousands of hours of new content. Hayu is a popular streamer that specialises in reality telly, with 10,00 episodes of fan-favourites like The Real Housewives, Below Deck, Vanderpump Rules, Million Dollar Listing New York, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
If you've got a Sky Q box under your TV, you're out of luck. Unfortunately, Hayu won't be coming to the set-top box until sometime in 2024.
Sky has worked hard to deeply integrate Hayu into the EntertainmentOS software that powers Sky Stream and Sky Glass, so anything watched from its catalogue of shows will appear in the Continue Watching carousel in the main menu. Boxsets can also be added to your Playlist – the feature that replaced Recordings on Sky Q.
Everything included with a Hayu subscription can be found with a quick voice search, so you won't need to navigate into the app to start looking for your next binge-watch.

If you have Sky Glass at home, you can use the hands-free search with voice commands like “Hello Sky, play The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, while you'll need to hold down the microphone button on the remote to search with your voice on a Sky Stream box.
Hayu isn't included as part of your monthly Sky TV subscription. It costs £4.99 per month for access to everything in the catalogue and can be cancelled at any time. There's a week-long free trial for new customers.
It's possible to add that additional fee to your monthly Sky TV bills, so you only need to worry about a single Direct Debit each month. Sky offers this option for a number of popular streaming services, including Disney+ and Prime Video. All Sky TV customers enjoy a basic Netflix subscription as standard.
If you're already a subscriber, you can sign-in with your existing account to the newly launched Hayu app.
Hayu launched seven years ago with a focus on bringing popular US reality television shows to UK fans as quickly as possible. Before the streamer made its debut, fans of shows like Keeping Up With The Kardashians would need to wait days before the latest episode would drop arrive on UK channels. That would lead to fans seeing spoilers of the latest developments on social media.
The latest episode of mostly American reality shows and true crime documentaries now launch on Hayu within a day of their release on US channels.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
Hayu is owned by NBC Universal / Comcast, which is the same US multi-national behind Sky TV, following its sale by the Murdoch family in 2018. That makes it even more surprising that Hayu wasn't available at launch.
