Save £264 and upgrade to 4x faster download speeds than the UK average

You've only got 12 hours left to secure Sky Broadband's lowest-ever price.

For a (very) limited time, you can secure the Full Fibre 300 plan for just £29 a month. That's a whopping £264 saving over the course of the 12-month contract compared to the standard £40 monthly price.

This is a record-low price for the Full Fibre 300 plan, which offers download speeds up to 300Mbps — that's over 4x faster than the average household broadband speed in the UK. At those speeds, you'll be able to download a feature-length film in 1080p High Definition in under 60 seconds.

Sky has confirmed its broadband will return to usual price at 11.59pm on Wednesday, October 23. With less than 12 hours until the window closes, time is short to take advantage of these impressive savings.

Save £264 on speedy full-fibre broadband from Sky — but you must act before midnight

You've only got a few hours left to secure Sky Broadband's Full Fibre 300 plan at its lowest ever price. Over the 24-month contract, you'll save a whopping £264 and unlock 4x faster download speeds than the average household internet connection — if you're looking for a speed boost, or a cut to your monthly bills, look no further than this superb upgrade from Sky

If you don't need the top speed offered by Full Fibre 300, then Sky Broadband is also offering its Full Fibre 150 broadband plan for just £27. With average speeds of 150Mbps, this fibre-optic package should still offer enough oomph to stream boxsets and blockbusters from Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and YouTube in HD, while also backing up data to the cloud, or making video calls to friends and family.

Usually £29 a month, you'll save a total of £48 over the two-year contract.

For comparison, BT charges £37.99 a month for its Full Fibre 300 plan, TalkTalk charges £28 for its slower Full Fibre 150 broadband speeds, Vodafone charges £26 for its Full Fibre 150 plan — rising to £30 for Full Fibre 500, and Virgin Media charges £27.99 a month for broadband speeds of 362Mbps.

While that's not quite as impressive as a £264 price cut, it's nonetheless a decent discount and if you're sure that you won't need the blink-and-you'll-miss-it speed of the Full Fibre 300 plan, then it makes sense to save a few extra pounds wherever possible.

Sky recently launched 24/7 customer support service, offering round-the-clock assistance from real people either over the phone or using an online chat platform.

Sky TV recommends a minimum broadband speed of 25Mbps to stream live television in HD, rising to 30Mbps for 4K UHD. So its Full Fibre 300 plan has more than enough bandwidth for multiple streams in high-quality across different rooms in the house

Both of these broadband plans arrive with the latest Wi-Fi router from Sky Broadband, dubbed Sky Max Hub, which supports Wi-Fi 6 technology. This enables faster and more reliable wireless connections across devices, as long as they're equipped with the latest Wi-Fi 6 chipset.

For those with dozens of internet-connected gadgets around the home, like video doorbells, smart thermostats, and security cameras, the introduction of Wi-Fi 6 should provide a much better experience.

The newer Wi-Fi 7 technology has since superseded Wi-Fi 6. Last month, EE became the first major broadband provider in the UK to incorporate this new wireless standard into its Wi-Fi routers.

The countdown until the end of the Sky Broadband sale comes a few weeks after Ofcom introduced its new 'One Touch' switchover process, which makes it easier to move between broadband networks, like BT-owned Openreach, Virgin Media O2, and smaller so-called "alt-nets" like HyperOptic, Community Fibre, and more.

Under One Touch Switch, broadband customers will only need to contact their new supplier to initiate the change. The new broadband firm will handle all aspects of the switch, including terminating the existing contract and organising the installation date for the new broadband supplier.

If that sounds familiar, it's because this seamless behind-the-scenes experience already exists... but only for those who move between brands that operate on Openreach cables, like BT, EE, Sky, TalkTalk, and Plusnet, to name just a few.

With the shake-up from Ofcom, the same experience is applied to every network and you'll receive compensation if you're left without internet beyond the agreed switchover timeframe.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

Given that BT is already seeing record numbers abandon its network for smaller full-fibre rivals, there is a possibility that Ofcom's new switchover process could open the flood-gates.

BT-owned Openreach is working hard to upgrade its infrastructure nationwide to future-proof fibre-optic cables, it might be possible to find faster speeds with another provider in your area.
