These wireless 'buds earned a Red Dot Design award for the UK-based team earlier this year

British technology brand Nothing has announced a swathe of Black Friday savings — slashing the price of its wireless earbuds Nothing Ear (a) to just £69.

That's a record-low for these critically adored Bluetooth 'buds, which are designed to compete with the likes of Apple AirPods 4, Samsung's Galaxy Buds, and Google's Pixel Buds A-Series. The Black Friday discount is available on Nothing's own online store, as well as Amazon UK.

Available in a choice of Black, White, or Yellow. Ear (a) usually cost £99 — a price tag that's already pretty competitive. In the box, you'll find a carry case that tops up the earbuds with enough juice for up to 42.5 hours of listening time before you'll need to find a charging cable.

Nothing Ear (a) plummet to record low price in Black Friday sale

The most affordable Bluetooth earbuds from British startup Nothing are now even more affordable. Nothing has kickstarted its Black Friday sale — and cut the price tag from £99 to just £69. For that, you'll take delivery of a lightweight pair of wireless 'buds that connect to Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad, Windows and Mac PCs, and consoles like Nintendo Switch. You'll enjoy active noise-cancellation and over 40-hours battery life with the included carry case

When it's time to recharge, Ear (a) supports wired fast charging, so just 10 minutes plugged into the mains will add 10-hours of listening time.

As well as listening to your favourite music, podcasts, videos, and audiobooks, the Ear (a) can also be used to make hands-free calls. Nothing has fitted these lightweight 'buds with a redesigned microphone and additional airway on the stem for wind to pass through — reducing interference by 60% compared to previous efforts from the brand.

Ear (a) comes equipped Active Noise-Cancellation, sometimes referred to as ANC, which extinguishes distracting background sound, so you can listen at lower volumes — even in the noisiest environments. Nothing has incorporated Adaptive ANC too, which uses an algorithm to apply the correct level of noise cancellation based on the amount of noise taking place in your surroundings in real-time in the controls for both 'buds.

Nothing has baked-in ChatGPT to its 'buds, which lets you summon the talkative AI chatbot as your virtual assistant instead of Alexa or Google Assistant. However, this only works with a Nothing-branded smartphone.

Despite its budget-friendly price tag — now reduced to an all-time low of £69 — Nothing Ear (a) manages to delivuer many of the features typically built into more expensive competitors, including adaptive noise cancellation and high-resolution audio support.

TechRadar's Audio Editor has lavished Nothing Ear (a) in praise, noting that these British-made Bluetooth 'buds have become a personal favourite. Express.co.uk currently ranks them in silver medal position in their list of best wireless earbuds, just behind Apple AirPods Pro 2, which cost £229.

Nothing Ear (a) aren't the only wireless 'buds on offer this Black Friday. The UK-based startup, launched by one of OnePlus co-founders, has also cut the cost of its Nothing Ear earbuds too. These flagship earbuds offers several premium features beyond its more affordable sibling for an extra £40 in the Black Friday sale.

Top-of-the-line Nothing Ear 'buds cut to £109 for Black Friday

These flagship Bluetooth earbuds boast a handful of extras that you won't find on the more affordable Ear (a) Bluetooth earbuds. First up, this top-of-the-line model supports sound personalisation mode, which conducts a hearing test to optimise audio specifically for your ears — compensating for any nuances in your hearing

A standout is Nothing's sound personalisation mode, which conducts a hearing test to optimise audio specifically for your ears — compensating for any nuances in your ear.

Nothing Ear 'buds also let you fine-tune the treble and bass in an advanced EQ to get the exact sound you want from your music. With the dedciated phone app, you can also create separate profiles for different genres, then share or import these EQ profiles to friends or family via QR code.

Like the Ear (a) price cut, this deal is available on Nothing's own online store, as well as Amazon UK.

Nothing Phone (2a) has dropped from £319 down to £279 in the Black Friday sale.

Launched earlier this year, Nothing's newest Android handset — only the third ever released by the UK startup — arrives with a two-day battery life, guaranteed four years of software updates, and a trademark lightshow inside the rear case to replace traditional ringtones.

Nothing Phone (2a) drops to record-low price in Black Friday sale

British startup Nothing only launched its Phone (2a) earlier this year. At the time, it was available at its lowest-ever price for a new Android handset ...a record that's now been smashed with the Black Friday sale. For just £279, you'll take delivery of a device with an expansive 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, two-day battery life, guaranteed four years of software updates, and Nothing's trademark pattern of flashing LEDs on the back

Phone (2a)
$319 $279

Phone (2a) released at the lowest price ever offered by Nothing. The company has made several cuts to keep the starting price below even the £399 price tag of the original Phone (1).

And now, with the Black Friday discount, Phone (2a) starts from an even more affordable £279. For that, you'll take delivery of a SIM-free model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. If you're looking to upgrade to the Phone (2a) this Black Friday offer is available from Nothing's own online store, as well as Amazon UK.

Nothing Phone (2a) arrives with an expansive 6.7-inch AMOLED screen ― the same size as the pricier Phone (2) — capable of producing 1.07 billion colours and peak brightnesses of 1,300-nits. The panel offers up to 120Hz high refresh rate, so system animations like scrolling will be buttery-smooth and responsive. Nothing will occasionally drop that refresh rate down to just 30Hz to conserve battery life.

Phone (2a) includes the thinnest bezels in Nothing’s smartphone line-up, measuring just 2.1mm around all four sides of the screen. This results in an impressive 91.65% screen-to-body ratio, so you won’t have to worry about Phone (2a) being too much of a palm-stretcher, despite its generous screen size.

On the back, you’ll find the lightshow that’s become synonymous with the Nothing brand. Known as the Glyph Interface, this relies on patterns of flashing LEDs — seen through the transparent rear case — to alert you about incoming text messages, phone calls, app notifications, and more. The LEDs can also be used to show a countdown, like the time until your Uber driver arrives.

Nothing believes the Glyph Interface offers a way to keep your phone face down on the table, so you’re more engaged with the people around you. With a quick glance, you’ll be able to work out who is calling you and whether an incoming notification is urgent and requires immediate attention.
