It can survive drops from 1.5 metres and submersion for 30-minutes
Motorola has unveiled its latest smartphone — the Moto G75 5G — with military-grade durability and a 50MP main camera. Most impressive, it lands on UK store shelves at just one-third of the cost of the new iPhone.
Yes, with a price tag of £269.99, the Moto G75 5G is an affordable Android handset that competes head-to-head with the latest from HMD Global, the European brand behind recent Nokia smartphones, and British design-focused firm Nothing that released its Phone 2(a) earlier this year, as well as its CMF Phone 1 spin-off.
Despite the lower price tag compared to many of its competitors, Motorola has still equipped its new Moto smartphone with a triple-camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor

Bought directly from online retailers like Motorola.co.uk, Amazon, and Tesco, the Motorola Moto G75 5G can be paired with your existing SIM plan, or combined with any SIM-only deal with enough 5G data, calls, and text messages to satisfy your day-to-day use.
According to Motorola, the Moto G75 5G is the first smartphone from the brand to achieve military-grade certification, ensuring it can withstand drops, scuffs, and accidental baths.
The durable design is certified IP68, which means it'll survive 30 minutes under 1.5 metres of fresh water and is completely protected from dust.
Motorola has fitted the handset an innovative new system that it claims will continue to allow phone owners to operate the device even when it's soaking wet. Dubbed Water Touch technology, Motorola says the system will work in a rainstorm or after swimming with the Moto G75 5G in your pocket.
Strengthening this tough handset even further, Motorola has shielded the screen with damage-resistant Gorilla Glass 5 from Corning, which can withstand drops of up to 1.2 metres.
The Moto G75 5G sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display. That means you won't be able to watch 4K Ultra HD content from Netflix, Disney+, or Prime Video in full resolution ...but it should be pixel-packed enough for most situations. Motorola says it's using a new Display Colour Boost system to improve visibility in bright daylight.
There's also support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio sound capabilities.
Unde the bonnet, Motorola has fitted this mid-range Android phone with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 system-on-a-chip — a first for the affordable Moto G series. This chipset delivers AI-powered features and 5G connectivity, ensuring smooth performance for streaming and multitasking, the company says.
Coupled with the chipset, Motorola has included 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which should be plenty of for those who take a lot of photos, videos, and store dozens of apps and files on their device.
With no case, the Moto G75 can withstand drops of up to 1.2 metres onto its toughened glass screen and endure baths in 1.5-metres of fresh water for up to 30-minutes

Elsewhere, the Moto G75 5G boasts a full-featured 50MP camera system with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Quad Pixel technology. At its heart is the Sony-LYTIA 600 sensor, which significantly enhances low-light performance. A Flicker Sensor eliminates unwanted effects from artificial light sources, ensuring true-to-life images. The device supports 4K video recording across all lenses.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
An 8MP ultra-wide and macro vision camera is included, while there's a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The phone integrates with Google Photos, offering AI-powered editing features such as Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur — the same AI editing tools you'll find on the Google Pixel lineup.
Moto G75 5G is available to order today from a limited number of retailers. It ships in a range of colourful options, with both vegan leather and matte material finishes available too.
