You'll also stream exclusive podcast series and ad-free audio shows — even if you cancel immediately
Don't miss the chance to swerve the standard £7.99 subscription fee for Amazon's popular Audible service.
Anybody can unlock two months of its audiobook and podcast streamer for free. During your free subscription, you'll be able to download and keep two Audible books of your choice and listen to popular podcasts.
But things get even better if you're an Amazon Prime member.
Whether you're already signed up with the membership scheme — or currently testing it out with a 30-day free trial, Amazon Prime users will be rewarded with an extra month of free access to Audible.
But you'll need to move quickly as the discount, which was launched as part of the Prime Day site-wide sale held by Amazon earlier this month, ends at 11.59pm tonight (July 31, 2024). After that date, you'll need to spend £7.99 every month to unlock access to exclusive podcast series and keep just one Audible book each month.
Even if you immediately cancel your discounted three-month subscription, you'll still be able to listen and re-listen to the Audible books that you've chosen across all of your devices.
Choose between the likes of Prince Harry's tell-all memoir Spare read by The Duke Of Sussex himself, Frank Herbert's Dune book series, Killing Eve star Jodie Comer reading Prima Facie, comedian David Mitchell reading his historical bestseller Unruly, or Matthew Perry's autobiography covering his time on the ever-popular NBC sit-com and his battles addiction Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.
If you're enjoying House of the Dragonon Sky TV at the moment, then the book that it's based on, Fire and Blood is available as an audiobook. Exclusive to the audio edition, you'll be able to enjoy an interview between Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin and historian Dan Jones.
Not only that, but you'll also be able to listen to ad-free podcasts and Audible Original shows, like Stephen Fry's Victorian Secrets, Sleep Sound With Jamie Dornan, French and Saunders Titting About, Derren Brown's Boot Camp For The Brain, as well as audio documentaries like Chasing Ghislaine and Countered Terrorism.
Amazon isn't just treating Prime members to more free Audible books. If you're signed-up for the membership scheme, you'll also be able to enjoy millions of free books and magazines with Kindle Unlimited for three months. It's all part of the blockbuster Prime Day sale taking place over the next 48 hours.
Audible is available across a wide range of popular devices, including iPad, Android tablets, iPhone and Google and Samsung phones, smart speakers, and more
AMAZON PRESS OFFICE
Audible usually costs £7.99 per month, so you'll save a massive £22.98 over the three months.
The last time Audible dropped in price was during the annual Black Friday sales in November 2023. However, it was discounted to £2.99 for 3 months — making this latest promotion a much better offer.
Audible memberships are available with either 1 credit or 2 credits each month.
These can be spent on an Audible book, a classic radio series, or some podcasts, like Alan Partridge: From The Oasthouse. Over the course of either two or three months included with the latest promotion, depending on your Prime membership status, you'll be able to buy up to 3 audiobooks or series.
Audible is available on iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets, certain Kindle e-readers, Amazon Fire tablets, as well as smart speakers like the Amazon Echo, Echo Show, and Sonos, to name just a few devices. Progress is synced via the cloud, so you can pause in one app and resume in another without missing a sentence.
Amazon's audiobook streaming service has boomed in popularity in recent years, with subscribers devouring fiction and non-fiction alike on packed trains during their daily commute, gym sessions, or while doing some household chores. If you can't find time to curl up with a book, this latest giveaway could be a good moment to give the audiobook and podcast service a go.
If you don't cancel during the two- or three-month free subscription period, Amazon will renew your Audible subscription on the current plan at the usual monthly rate.
