Apple is treating shoppers to a Gift Card worth up to £160... but there's no price cut to the devices themselves
Apple has published the details of its feverishly-anticipated Black Friday sale. The Californian brand regularly takes part in the blockbuster sales event ...but never actually discounts its products.
Instead, you'll receive a Gift Card up to a value of £160 with your new purchase. This Gift Card can be put towards other purchases in the Apple Store, including more gadgets and accessories, or digital purchases in the App Store, like paid-for apps and games, or songs and movies from iTunes.
Apple's Black Friday sale is available online, in-store, and in the Apple Store app. The four-day event runs from November 29 to December 2, covering both Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The small print? Apple isn't including its latest-and-greatest iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models in the Black Friday promotion. Likewise, the new MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac models announced last month are exempt too.
But if you're looking for older hardware, this is the best time to upgrade. Aside from the Gift Card, buying direct from the Apple Store is the only way to get free engraving on eligible products. For example, you can customise AirPods, AirTags, iPad Air, Apple Pencil, and other gadgets with a name, emoji, or MeMoji at checkout.
Apple offers free next-day delivery on in-stock items, with standard delivery free across all products. Scheduled delivery is also available on some gadgets, or alternatively, you can arrange for products to be delivered to your nearest Apple Store.

If you're not tempted by the prospect of a Gift Card to spend in the Apple Store, or App Store on your new device, then it might be looking elsewhere. While Apple doesn't cut the price of any of its products for Black Friday, other online retailers have already started to slash its most popular products in the sales.
There are perks to buying your iPhone, iPad, AirPods, and Apple Watch direct from the Apple Store, including free engraving and next-day delivery nationwide ...but don't expect a price cut

For a limited time, EE has slashed the AirPods Pro 2 to £179 — saving £50.
The last time we saw AirPods Pro 2 drop to that price tag was during the Prime Day sales, when Amazon exclusively cut the cost of these earbuds to £179 — a £10 discount on its previous record price cut. Unfortunately for those who prefer to shop on Amazon, the online retailer has not price-matched the latest discount from EE.
You can't even get a second-hand pair on Amazon for the same price as the EE Black Friday deal.
EE has slashed the price of these popular 'buds for Black Friday — price-matching an all-time record low. EE has cut £50 off the cost of the latest generation of AirPods Pro, which offer 2x better noise-cancellation than their predecessors, smaller interchangeable ear tip sizes, and can double-up as medical grade hearing aids. These new AirPods Pro can recharge wirelessly or via USB-C. EE won't let you order more than 2x of these AirPods Pro because it's such a good discount
EE is far from the only brand kickstarting Black Friday sale ahead of the day itself, which falls on November 29 this time around. iRobot, the brand behind Roomba robot vacuums, has cut prices by £700, lowest-ever Sky TV subscriptions, Ninja dropping its award-winning air fryers to below £70, Surfshark offering 4 months of its VPN for free, and Virgin Media giving away broadband and Disney+ until early 2025, to name just a few.
