The next Prime Day sale arrives in less than a month.

The blockbuster sale will take place July 16-17, 2024 with Amazon promising discounts across thousands of items on its online store. "Save big on popular brands like Elemis, ghd, Ninja, Samsung, and more," it promised.

Unlike the best Black Friday deals, Prime Day is only available to those with a Prime membership.

We've dug into whether an Amazon Prime subscription is still worth it in our in-depth guide, but in the meantime you can sign-up for a 30-day free trial to access all of the perks of membership — including access to everything the Prime Day sale. Cancel anytime during the month-long trial and you'll pay nothing.

"The countdown to the 10th Prime Day in the UK starts now, and we have a huge selection of deals to come," said John Boumphrey, UK Country Manager of Amazon. "We work really hard to deliver great products at the best prices for customers during Prime Day and throughout the year, from the biggest brands to the 100,000 small British businesses that sell on Amazon.

"With even faster deliveries and so many shopping, saving and entertainment benefits available, there has never been a better time to be a Prime member. Roll on Prime Day!"

To help some shoppers take advantage of the Prime Day sales, Amazon is giving away £15 in credit to spend on anything in the sales. Coupled with the Black Friday-like discounts we usually see during Prime Day, this could be an opportunity to enjoy huge savings.

Not everyone is eligible for the free £15 to spend on Amazon. First up, you'll need to be a Prime member who has never backed-up photos in the cloud via Amazon Photos. If you haven't taken advantage of this membership perk, you'll be able to claim £15 when you store some of your photographs in the cloud.
