Amazon's Fire TV price crash is so cheap, it's forced to block you from buying more than one

For its Black Friday sale, Amazon has cut prices across several of its Fire TV models, including the refreshed Fire TV 4-Series and the top-of-the-line Fire TV Omni mini-LED Series — but the discounts are so generous, Amazon is limiting the number of televisions that each customer is able to add to their baskets

Black Friday shoppers will be limited to one television because the Amazon discount is so generous

Amazon has slashed prices across its latest generation of Smart TVs — with up to £300 discounts available. These new flatscreens were announced earlier this month and are powered by the latest version of its wildly popular Fire TV platform, which offers access to a broad selection of streaming services, games, and apps.

It's also cut the cost of its Fire TV 43-inch Omni QLED series — which was the top-of-the-line Fire TV from Amazon until last week — by a whopping 49%. That means you could save as much as £270.

The price cut is so generous that Amazon has placed restrictions on them. If you want to secure the 49% discount on select Fire TV Omni QLEDs — you're limited to 1x television per customer.

Amazon has slashed prices across the Fire TV Omni QLED series, but it's the 43-inch model with the biggest savings. It's almost half price in the Black Friday sale, cutting the price tag to just £279.99. That's a huge saving on a Fire TV-powered flatscreen that was the flagship model from Amazon until a few days ago. For that, you'll enjoy a crisp 4K UHD resolution with support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive

For the newly-launched Fire TV 4-Series and Fire TV Omni Mini-LED series, Amazon imposes a 2x television per customer limit while these 2024 models are on-sale. When the price cut ends, so will the restrictions on the number of television that you're able to buy on Amazon.

First up, the all-new Amazon Fire TV 4-Series is a mid-range Smart TV with a 4K UHD screen, ultra-slim bezels, support for HDR 10, HLG and Dolby Digital Plus standards, as well as AirPlay to wirelessly beam photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad to the big screen.

Amazon refreshed its Fire TV 4-Series lineup earlier this month. The updated model has an ultra-thin bezel around the 4K UHD display — so the footprint of the television isn't much bigger than the screen size itself. Powered by the Fire TV software, this flatscreen ships with an Alexa Voice Remote Enhanced to easily find, launch and control your content. You can even check the weather, sports scores and more

Amazon has equipped its 4-Series Smart TV with four HDMI ports, including one with support for eARC 2.1 — perfect for connecting an external soundbar. The refreshed Amazon Fire TV 4-Series is available in 43", 50", and 55" sizes.

The next new addition to the Fire TV lineup is the Fire TV Omni Mini-LED series — marking Amazon's first foray into the competitive mini-LED Smart TV market. It also supersedes the Fire TV Omni QLED series, which launched in June 2023, as the top-of-the-line model tellies from the US shopping brand.

Amazon's flagship flatscreens, equipped with cutting-edge mini-LED panels, boast a 4K Ultra HD resolution and can produce over one billion life-like colours — up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness. As such, these new Smart TVs support flagship industry standards like Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive.

The all-new Fire TV Omni Mini-LED is available in 55" 55", 65", and 75" sizes.

And it's not just the screen of the flagship Fire TV Omni Mini-LED lineup that's a substantial improvement. For the first time, Amazon has fitted its new Smart TVs with two speakers and two subwoofers that Dolby Atmos sound without the need for an external soundbar or speaker system.

The new flagship flatscreen from Amazon, the all-new Fire TV Omni Mini-LED series ships with a top-of-the-line mini-LED panel with 4K Ultra HD resolution, two built-in speakers for Dolby Atmos audio, and hands-free Alexa voice commands. It also has a 144Hz high refresh-rate for the smoothest gaming experience on a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. For a limited time, save £200 on the 55" and 65" models, or a maximum discount of £300 on the behemoth 75"

If you're not fussed about watching your favourite shows on the latest-and-greatest television from Amazon, then it's slashed prices across the Fire TV Omni QLED series. This lineup was the flagship flatscreen from the US retailer until last week when the Fire TV Omni Mini-LED series was announced.

It boasts the same 4K UHD resolution and support for standards like HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive, and HDR10+ Gaming. It relies on a QLED panel, which doesn't offer the same levels of brightness as mini-LED.

It also tops-out at 60Hz, rather than the 144Hz gaming mode on the newer Fire TV Omni Mini-LED series — so those with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X won't be able to take advantage of the high refresh-rate gameplay.

Both generations of the Fire TV Omni lineup include a far-field microphone array to enable hands-free Alexa voice controls, so you can bark commands to change channels, load-up your favourite streaming services or apps, or check a live feed from a Ring video doorbell without reaching for the remote control.

These top-end models also boast the Fire TV Ambient Experience, which replaces blank television screens with helpful information and beautiful artwork. Amazon now allows Fire TV viewers to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate never-before-seen artwork to use as a screensaver. Smart TV owners can give a brief summary of the sort of image they're looking for to Alexa, and the complex AI models will do the rest.

If you don't fancy generating your own artwork, Amazon includes a collection of more than 2,000 free gallery-quality images available within the Ambient Experience. And, later this month, Amazon will add 100 new pieces of artwork, including new motion art as well as landscape, underwater, and NASA space photography.

Earlier this month, Amazon revealed confirmed that it's now sold over 250 million Fire TV devices globally.

The latest flatscreens from Amazon join an expanding lineup of Fire TV devices, which includes HDMI dongles, like the Fire TV Stick 4K, custom-designed Smart TVs from the team at Amazon, and partnerships with manufacturers such as Panasonic, Hisense, Toshiba, and TCL. Amazon also now makes its own soundbar, which is designed to pair with its flatscreens to bolster audio when watching a movie.
