Unlock an extra 25% discount on sale prices with trade-in... even if your Echo speaker is broken
If you've got an outdated or broken Amazon Echo speaker gathering dust somewhere in a corner of your home, send it back to an Amazon warehouse and the US retailer will treat you to up to 80% off something brand-new. Yes, really.
Amazon has long offered this nifty trade-in deal, which unlocks a 25% discount on its brand-new hardware.
It's a nice saving and means you can remove clutter from your home and trade-up to a newer model while reducing the strain on your current account. Prime members unlock next-day delivery at no extra cost.
But with a swathe of pre-Christmas discounts available from Amazon, this offer really steps-up a gear. That's because you can combine the 25% trade-in discount with the sale price available on Amazon today.
For a limited time, Amazon is offering over 55% off some models in its line-up of Echo smart speakers, slashing the price of the most affordable Echo Pop to a mere £18.99 — that's a whopping 58% off, while the newest iteration of the Echo Dot falls to just £24.99, the redesigned Echo Spot with its built-in bedside clock drops down to £49.99, and the full-sized Amazon Echo now costs £49.99 — that's a 55% discount.
And don't forgot — those prices will drop even more if you've got an existing Echo to send back to Amazon.
The bonus discount available when you trade-in an existing Echo smart speaker, or other Amazon-designed gadgets is much more generous than the extra 20% off that Amazon offers when you send in a Fire TV Stick.

Amazon sells a wide range of Echo smart speakers capable of streaming live radio, songs and playlists from services like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and Amazon Music, to name a few. You can also listen to audiobooks and podcasts on these popular smart home gadgets.
Echo speakers can be controlled via the Alexa app on your iPhone or Android, as well as using voice commands to chatty AI assistant, Alexa. A far-field microphone array inside the speaker listens for the wake word "Alexa," and then follows your spoken instructions.
Using its powerful AI brain, Amazon's Bluetooth speakers can manage your calendar, set timers and reminders, read the latest headlines and forecasts, call friends and family, order takeaways, and more.
