Emma Raducanu pulled out of a scheduled mixed doubles match with Andy Murray on Saturday
Judy Murray "added fire to the flames" with her "sarcastic" comments to Emma Raducanu, a has claimed.
Speaking about the two-word response on GB News, sports commentator Ben Jacobs said: "In reality, it's a good thing that we've had clarity from Judy Murray that she was being sarcastic, and maybe she realizes that she's added fire to the flames.
"That naturally means that people are talking about radical news when actually the reality is that Andy Murray, I would imagine, empathizes with Raducanu.
"And maybe you can end this story by saying so publicly and backing radicals.
"And it was rightly said she's fully entitled to focus on her game. Singles tend to come above mixed doubles.
"That partnership was very much a last-minute pairing. It was sentimental. It was there to put two Grand Slam champions at Wimbledon together for sentiment purposes, to give Murray the best possible farewell.
"But you can't script tennis and when you schedule it in the way it was, she probably did have to pick one or the other."
