The Gypsy King has congratulated his fellow Briton on his triumph on Saturday night
Tyson Fury has congratulated Tom Aspinall after the Briton became UFC heavyweight champion on Satueday night.
Aspinall used to spar with Fury and became the third British UFC champion in history with victory over Sergei Pavlovich in the first round of UFC 295.
The 30-year-old destroyed a man he previously described as the 'scariest; in the sport.
And he's now been congratulated by Fury after his stunning performance at Madison Square Garden in New York.
"Just want to say a massive shoutout to my brother Tom Aspinall, the new UFC heavyweight champion of the world!" he said on Instagram.
"God bless you Tom, all the best brother.
"It couldn't have happened to a more lovely person.
"Congratulations to you and your family and I hope you have a fantastic, fantastic time."
Fury had previously reacted to Aspinall's win on X, saying: "We've got some serious talent in England.
"Massive congratulations to Tom on his win. Another top-tier athlete in the making!"
Fury recently brought Aspinall into his camp prior to his victory over Francis Ngannou in October.
The 35-year-old was unconvincing during his recent triumph in Saudi Arabia.
Fury was downed in round three of the fight, leaving the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Oleksandr Usyk and Conor McGregor stunned in the stands.
But he ended up winning via split decision, something Ngannou won't be appealing despite his dismay.
Aspinall was on top of the world on Saturday night as he reigned supreme.
Having only taken the fight with Pavlovich at short notice, he exceeded expectations with his dominant display.
"I can't even tell you (how it feels)," he said.
"It's been a crazy two and a half weeks.
"If you ever get a chance to do something and you're scared to do it you should f***ing do it."
Aspinall also praised his opponent, too, saying: "He's a big scary guy. But I have a lot of power too and I believe in myself."
Meanwhile, the new UFC heavyweight champion has now set his sights on facing American star Jon Jones next.
“Right now I want to take a little break,” he told UFC.com.
“I don’t want to fight again this year.
"I’ve had enough of this nerves thing and pressure. I want a little bit of time off.
