The South Korea international has long been one of the best players in the Premier League

Tottenham star Son Heung-min is forbidden from taking his own selfies with fans on phones that aren't Samsung, according to reports.

A recent TikTok video showed a fan offering their iPhone to the forward so he could take a selfie of them both.

Yet Son, after noticing the brand of phone, put his hands together apologetically and explained he was unable to take the picture.

The Daily Mail say that, as part of a sponsorship deal with Samsung, Son can't take his own selfies or touch phones belonging to fans 'if the product belongs to a rival company'.

Son became a brand ambassador for the tech giants earlier this summer.

Those hoping to take a snap with the forward will have to take them themselves, rather than relying on the Tottenham star.

Son has regularly promoted Samsung products on his Instagram account ever since linking up with the company earlier this year.

He has shown off the brand's televisions, watches, phones and refrigerators over the past few weeks.

Son is also linked to brands such as Calvin Klein, Burberry and Gatorade as well.

The Tottenham star endured a difficult season last term, scoring just 14 goals from 47 appearances.

Spurs toiled under managers such as Antonio Conte, Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason - eventually finishing eighth in the Premier League table.

Son has, however, since rediscovered his mojo under new boss Ange Postecoglou.

The 31-year-old bagged a hat-trick against Burnley on matchday four in a stirring 5-2 win at Turf Moor.

And Postecoglou hailed Son, who replaced Harry Kane as captain, for his outstanding performance.

"I think he's been outstanding for us all year," said the Australian, whose side currently sit second in the Premier League table.

"Even today the way he pressed the goalkeeper, I thought that was a trigger for us to really get some impetus into the game so it wasn't just his goals but his hard work.

"He has the quality to finish them off and I'm ecstatic for him."

Postecoglou had previously praised his star man by calling him a 'massive influence' in the squad.

“He’s another one that I think shows real leadership qualities," said the former Celtic boss.

“I look at him and he’s pretty much a conduit for the whole squad.

"He mixes in all groups. I don’t think it’s just because he’s popular.

“What he’s done in the game he has a certain standing in the game.

"It’s good to see that influence on the group.
