US Open: Tim Henman lifts lid on Jack Draper private message that perfectly sums up British star
Jack Draper showed his class by sending Tim Henman a birthday message just hours before he faces Jannik Sinner at the US Open.
The 22-year-old is taking part in his maiden Grand Slam semi-final after a stunning run at Flushing Meadows where he has not dropped a single set.
But he faces his biggest test yet when he comes up against the world No. 1 Sinner on Friday night in New York.
And while the Briton will surely have his plate full getting ready for such a seismic clash but he still had time for tennis legend Henman.

Celebrating his 50th birthday on September 6, the former British No. 1 revealed how Draper had got in touch ahead of his semi-final.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Gigi Salmon told Henman: "Now please tell me that you haven’t messaged Jack today to ask him about the present that you sort of forced him into buying."

Celebrating his 50th birthday on September 6, the former British No. 1 revealed how Draper had got in touch ahead of his semi-final.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Gigi Salmon told Henman: "Now please tell me that you haven’t messaged Jack today to ask him about the present that you sort of forced him into buying."
But Draper did not need reminding it was Henman's birthday, as co-pundit Laura Robson replied: "He got a message from Jack in the car!"
Henman added: "Yeah I did, yeah. He sent me a birthday message. No present yet but he’s got a million options of what he can buy."

"If he wins, will that be the present?" Robson asked. Henman replied: "Yeah, definitely. That would be awesome."
The odds are stacked up against Draper but the British No. 1 is in high spirits as he prepares for the biggest match of his career.
"A lot of the players know my talent and know my tennis capabilities and probably see me as a dangerous player," he said.
"It's been important for me to show my face on the tour most weeks and show that I'm physically robust.

"That mentally, I'm all in, and I'm doing all the right things, and that also gains respect from the other players."
Draper put on a show against Alex de Minaur in the previous round when he claimed a 6-3 7-5 6-2 win over the Australian.
And now the Briton faces Sinner on Friday night at the Arthur Ashe Stadium with the final in his sights.
