Emma Raducanu produced a stunning performance to upset American eighth seed Emma Navarro at the Miami Open on Friday.
The former US Open champion triumphed 7-6 (8-6) 2-6 7-6 (7-3) in an epic second-round contest that lasted nearly three hours.
This victory marks Raducanu's first top-10 win on a hardcourt, showcasing her continued resurgence in form despite facing physical challenges during the match.
Raducanu came out hitting the ball cleanly against Navarro, who reached the semi-finals of the US Open last year.

After repelling two set points in the tie-breaker, Raducanu snatched the opener before the American quickly levelled the match in the second set.
The deciding set was a rollercoaster affair, with Raducanu reeling off four straight games after being down 3-1, though she couldn't serve out the match at her first opportunity.
In the final tie-break, Raducanu dominated to secure her victory.
The 22-year-old took a medical timeout for blisters before the start of the deciding set, having both feet taped up.
The physical issue sparked concern as she was broken in the first game of the decider.
Despite this setback, Raducanu found a second wind and battled through the pain.

She saved two break points in a tough fifth game, which seemed to give her a boost as she kicked into life with some huge returns.
Raducanu's impressive win comes after she ended her trial with coach Vladimir Platenik after just two weeks, feeling their partnership wasn't "quite going in the right direction".
She was seen hitting with Andy Murray's former coach Mark Petchey ahead of her match against Navarro.
Petchey, who previously worked with Raducanu briefly before her breakout summer in 2021, was in her box during Friday's match.

The retired British player-turned-coach is understood to be helping out as a familiar face.
Jamie Delgado, who currently coaches former world No 3 Grigor Dimitrov, spoke about Raducanu's coaching situation to Sky Sports Tennis.
"She's got people around her that she likes, that she trusts, and she's played very good tennis with these people around her before so that can spread confidence," he said.
Delgado added: "She'll be after somebody with that consistency and familiarity in the long-term. I don't know what Mark's commitments are with TV, he's obviously busy as well."

Raducanu is also being supported in Miami by her long-time mentor Jane O'Donoghue, whom she sees as a "big sister".
She is working with a small team including O'Donoghue and Lawn Tennis Association coach Colin Beecher.
This victory continues Raducanu's improved form at the Miami Open, where she had never won a match in her two previous appearances in 2022 and 2023.
