The 21-year-old has now won back-to-back matches at the competition

Emma Raducanu has admitted she was forced to let go of any 'frustration' she had as she battled her way into the last eight of the Korea Open.

The 21-year-old beat Yue Yuan 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals as she won her second match since her disastrous US Open campaign.

Though she was able to win in straight sets, it was a tight affair.

Raducanu's final service game lasted a staggering 17 minutes, with the Briton spurning four match points before winning on the fifth after she'd broken her opponent's serve.

Speaking after the win, on the court, the 2021 US Open champion admitted that she'd had to overcome 'frustration' during the clash.

“Key to my success today was trying to let go off any frustration," she revealed.

“Closing out the match I had a lot of match points and couldn’t convert, so staying focused and breaking in that last game."

Raducanu had previously made it clear how much she enjoys playing in Korea.
