The tennis star now has four Grand Slam titles to his name

Carlos Alcaraz has said he hopes Emma Raducanu enjoyed his terrific Wimbledon final win over Novak Djokovic on Sunday afternoon.

The Spaniard was outstanding during the contest on Centre Court, winning 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) to clinch a fourth Grand Slam final of his career.

Alcaraz was cheered on by many famous faces in Centre Court, with Raducanu among them.

The 21-year-old did well to make the round of 16 at Wimbledon this year, beating the likes of Elise Mertens and Maria Sakkari before crashing out at the hands of Lulu Sun.

Alcaraz was asked about Raducanu being in attendance to watch his thumping win over Djokovic.

And the Wimbledon champion sent a message to the Briton, saying: “I don’t know. I guess a lot of people came to see the final. Novak and I we always play a spectacular match, it’s a beautiful match to see.

“And she is from here, so I imagine that she wanted to come and see it. If there was a Grand Slam in Murcia I would watch the finals 100 per cent.

"I don’t know if she came to the finals or if she came to see me. Who knows? You have to question her, but I hope she enjoyed the final.”

With four Grand Slams to his name already, Alcaraz is well on his way to becoming one of the greatest players in the sport's history.

He still has a long way to go to catch Djokovic, however, with the Serb currently 20 majors ahead.

Alcaraz doesn't seem too fazed, though, with the youngster taking each Grand Slam as they come.

"I don't know what is my limit," he said. "I don't want to think about it.

“I just want to keep enjoying my moment, just to keep dreaming. So let’s see if at the end of my career, it’s going to be 25, 30, 15, four. I don’t know.

"All I want to say is I want to keep enjoying, and let’s see what the future brings for me.

“I’m really happy with the work that I’m doing with my team.

"I’m really proud of myself, all the things that I’m doing great. I’m really proud of the people around my team.

“Everything we have done already has been unbelievable, an amazing journey so far.

"As I said, I really want to keep going, to keep improving, to keep growing up, try to keep winning. That’s all that matters to me right now.

“Obviously I’ve seen and I’ve heard all the stats that I am the youngest to win at Roland Garros and Wimbledon the same year, to win whatever.

"I honestly try not to think about it too much. It’s a really great start to my career, but I have to keep going."
