Andy Murray's dreams of a final swansong at Wimbledon and the Olympics may be back on the cards as he won't require surgery on the ankle injury he sustained at last month's Miami Open.
The three-time major champion has faced growing questions over his future in the sport this year with an indication that he won't 'play much past this summer'.
That was before he rolled his ankle in Miami during his loss to Tomas Machac, leaving the British sports icon in agony.
Speaking after the match, Murray claimed he suffered a 'full rupture' of his ankle ligament.

The 36-year-old went on to admit he would be out for an 'extended period' with some suggestions he may require surgery.
That would have affected his apparent retirement plans for this summer with any surgery likely ruling him out of Wimbledon and the Olympics.
However, Murray is already on the mend and it's been confirmed that he hasn't needed to go under the knife.
"Latest update from Andy is that he is now out of the walking boot and will not be having surgery on his ankle," a spokesperson said.
"His rehab is going well and he is hoping to start hitting again on court soon.
"As yet he doesn't have a date yet for returning to competition."
Murray has admitted to being 'bored' of questions over his future in the sport as he revealed two months ago that he was eyeing up retirement for this summer.
"Yeah, I mean, I'm likely not going to play past this summer," he said in February.

"I get asked about it after every single match that I play, every single tournament that I play. I'm bored of the question, to be honest.
"I'm not going to talk more about that between now and whenever the time comes for me to stop.
"But yeah, I don't plan on playing much past this summer."
