There is no guarantee that Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic will ever work with each other ever again after the Australian Open.
That is the verdict from former coach Mark Petchey, who believes that they would have learned a lot from each other following the first Grand Slam of the year.
Murray, who retired from tennis last year, worked as a coach in Djokovic's team as he looked to gun down a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title.
The Serbian reached the semi-final of the competition after a heroic 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-final despite being in considerable pain.

Despite emerging triumphant from a thigh injury, his fitness issues reared its head again in the resulting clash against Alexander Zverev that forced him to retire from the match.
Nevertheless, in the previous match against Alcaraz after victory, Murray and Djokovic shared a bonding moment as the 37-year-old roared in his direction.
But whether Murray works with Djokovic remains to be seen, though there were hints that their working relationship could continue.
Speaking to JeffBet, Petchey was not so sure and insisted that it was 'no sure thing' that Murray would remain Djokovic's coach.
“I mean, I wouldn't be confident. I think it was the trial.

"I think it's been a bit of an eye opener for both of them.
"I think for Andy, particularly what goes on coaching and the stress that comes with that, particularly at a high level with somebody like Novak where failure again is not picking up the trophy.
"That comes with an awful lot of pressure, which obviously Andy knew as a player, but it's very different when you carry it as a coach.
“I think he would have learned a lot. I think whether he wants to be around Novak, trying to help him, obviously that's the number one but also learning for future players that he's going to work with about things that Novak does in preparation.

"The way that he thinks, how that can help Andy become a better coach down the road is going to be a driver for Andy. He loves knowledge and he loves data.
“I think the jury's out. If I'm being honest, I don't think it's a slam dunk that he stays working with Novak, going forward.
"If he does, as I said, in Australia, it doesn't change my mind. I think he's going to be a great coach.

"I think it might be that Novak at this stage of his career, they're both so driven that maybe it will be easier for Novak to be with somebody like Charly Gomez, who is there.
“Andy can kind of figure out if he wants to try and take another player from a British perspective, because obviously that means he can be at home a little bit more.
"I think there is a bit of uncertainty about whether that continues or not.
