Fans on social media have flooded Andy Murray with messages of support after he confirmed he'd be retiring from tennis after the Paris Olympics.
It was already an open secret that the former world No 1 would be walking off into the sunset once this summer's prestigious event is out of the way.
And Murray, writing on X, has now confirmed the news everybody was expecting to hear.
"Arrived in Paris for my last ever tennis tournament @Olympics," he wrote.

Murray has been flooded with messages of support from fans, with many hoping to see him win Olympic gold.
"Best of luck man, perfect way to end a legendary career," were the words of one user.
"Good luck Andy. You have been inspirational for new generation. Respect to you," said a second.

A third stated: "Good luck Andy. Bring it home."
Another said: "You are such a wonderful tennis player and role model. Your dedication and especially your success (Grand Slams, Olympic gold) make you a true inspiration."
A fifth praised Murray by saying: "Enjoy, you deserve to, for all you've done for British tennis!"
And a sixth fan said: "Best of luck! We're all with you."

Murray has won Olympic gold before.
He won the singles in 2012, beating Roger Federer just four weeks after he'd lost to the Swiss maestro in the final of Wimbledon.
Murray also got the better of Novak Djokovic on his way to glory, showing he was one of the best players in the world in the process.
Four years later, Murray acted as a flag bearer for Great Britain during the opening ceremony for the Rio Olympics.

He won gold again in the singles, beating old rival Juan Martin del Potro after an epic four-hour final to cement his place in the history books.
Murray is set to walk away from tennis with three Grand Slams to his name.
He won his first major in 2012 at the fifth attempt, having previously lost three Grand Slam finals to Federer - and one to Djokovic.
Murray battered Djokovic in the final of the US Open to finally end his wait for the accolade he desired above all other.

In 2013, Murray got the better of the same opponent to finally win Wimbledon.
And his last major came eight years ago, with Murray overcoming Milos Raonic in straight sets to win his second Wimbledon crown.
