Inside Ronnie O'Sullivan's mum's toxic feud with Laila Rouass after alleged 's**g' insult
Snooker star Ronnie O'Sullivan and his partner Laila Rouass have reportedly split once again, reigniting discussions about family tensions involving O'Sullivan's mother.
The couple, who began dating in 2012, previously announced a separation in February 2022 before reconciling months later.
Rouass, 53, a former actress known for her roles in "Footballers' Wives" and "Holby City", has recently been seen on television without her engagement ring.
This has fuelled speculation that their engagement may be off.

At the heart of the couple's troubles are alleged comments made by O'Sullivan's mother, Maria.

According to O'Sullivan's sister Danielle, their mother referred to Rouass in derogatory terms, reportedly calling her a "s**g" and a "prostitute".
Danielle told The Sun in 2020: "Ronnie has given Mum so much help in the past. But when he asked her for £15,000 last year, he told me she said, 'I'm not giving you money for that f***g s**g!'"
These allegations have never been publicly addressed by Maria O'Sullivan, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight despite her son's sporting success.
The family tensions have reportedly strained O'Sullivan and Rouass's relationship.
An unnamed relative of Rouass told The Sun: "Ronnie's mum's attitude in the relationship has not helped. She does not sound like a very nice person to me."
Danielle O'Sullivan expressed concern about the impact on her brother's mental health, stating he was "so in love with Laila".

Despite these challenges, O'Sullivan has spoken positively about Rouass. After their 2022 reconciliation, he said: "She's great.
"I love her. She's great company and I love being around her. She's very supportive."
