Former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop collapsed live on air while reporting on Real Madrid's pre-season friendly clash with AC Milan.
The goalkeeper played over 250 games in the English top flight for sides such as Newcastle, West Ham and Portsmouth.
Hislop was speaking live on ESPN to his broadcasting partner Dan Thomas.
Yet the conversation was cut short with the 54-year-old staggering forwards before collapsing, with those around him immediately alarmed.

The coverage was instantly cut and collegues of Hislop rushed to his aid.
It has since been reported the former Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper is 'conscious' and talking.
Reports also said Hislop was 'a little bit embarrassed'.
Thomas, speaking at half time, then said: "That (the first half) was of course very much secondary to what happened ahead of the game.
"Obviously my mate Shaka is not here, but as it stands, it's good news.
"He's conscious, he's talking, I think he's a little bit embarrassed about it all.
"He's apologised profusely, not a man who likes people to make a fuss of him.
"Obviously it's too early to make any sort of diagnosis but the important thing is Shaka's conscious and we've spoken to his family as well.
"Imagine seeing that happen live, there can't be many more things that can scare you amongst the family.
"We spoke to his wife and things are looking OK. Thank you for all your love, and as it stands, it looks like Shaka's going to be alright."
Some fans on social media speculated that the weather could have been the cause.
Temperatures pitch-side in California were reported to be around 30C, though it's unclear if this was the reason for Hislop's collapse.
As for the match between the two giants, it was Real Madrid who ended up reigning supreme.
Milan raced into a 2-0 lead following first-half goals from Fikayo Tomori and Luka Romero.
But Real then made eight changes at the interval to turn the fixture around.
Jude Bellingham came on for his debut for the La Liga giants, having joined from Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer.

Real managed to draw level courtesy of a brace from Federico Valverde.
And Carlo Ancelotti's side then grabbed a late winner through Vinicius Jr, with the Brazil international scoring in the 84th minute.
After making his debut for Madrid, Bellingham said: "Loved my first minutes as a Madridista!
"Let’s keep building. Thank you for the love."
Real are next in action against Manchester United on Thursday (1.30am), with Milan scheduled to lock horns with Serie A rivals Juventus in the early hours of Friday morning (3.30am).
