England have missed out on Six Nations glory as France beat Scotland 35-16 to secure the prize on Saturday night.
Steve Borthwick's men had done their part earlier in the day, running in 10 tries as they thumped Wales 68-14 in Cardiff.
But France, despite losing to England earlier in the tournament, have now been crowned winners after a hard-fought victory at the Stade de France.
Thomas Ramos scored three penalties and one conversion before half time, with Yoram Moefana going over.

Scotland were still very much in the contest, however, a try from Darcy Graham and kicked points from Finn Russell.
They even thought they'd gone ahead when Tom Jordan flew over the line, only for his effort to be disallowed after Matthew Carley had gone out of touch in the build-up.
Tempers started to boil over, with France's Peato Mauvaka fortunate not to see red after headbutting Ben White.
With the half time whistle blowing, England fans were daring to dream.
Scotland looked capable of doing them a favour, with Gregor Brown standing out with a resilient performance.
But with the home crowd creating a raucous atmosphere, it was always written in the stars that Les Bleus would find a way to swing the match even further in their favour.

Just minutes after the restart, Louis Billie-Biarrey went over - with Ramos kicking France into a 23-13 lead.
Another penalty brought Scotland to within a try of levelling but, in the 57th minute, everything changed once more.
Ramos, so often at the heart of everything positive about France, scored a try before kicking the conversion to ramp up his points tally to 20.
Moefana dived over for his second try, with France then able to close out the match to make it a night to remember.
While England have ultimately missed out on glory, they'll take heart a significantly improved showing from previous years.
Beating France, especially given tonight's achievement, was one of the highlights - while the emphatic victory over Wales earlier in the day also bodes well for the future.

Steve Borthwick was pleased with his side's result and believes things are on the up. He said: “I wanted the players to play big and fast, aggressive with the ball and that’s exactly what they did.
“That’s a sign that this young team just embraces challenges and it is growing and developing fast.
“I think the team has been progressing for a period of time. You can see that growth.
“We were just falling short before of getting those actual wins but the team has stuck to the process.”
