He's been heavily backed in the bookies with the 16-year-old sensationally seen as the fourth-favourite at 9/1 as the outright winner.
But the 16-year-old has already secured himself a big payday no matter what happens in his third-round match on Wednesday.
Ever since the 2019 World Darts Championship, the total prize pot for the tournament has been set at £2.5million.
That money is split for each round with those knocked out in the first round getting £7,500.
The second-round losers receive double that with £15,000 up for grabs.
Reaching the third round has already guaranteed Littler will take home £25,000 and that grows significantly larger in the next stages.
A win over Canada’s Matt Campbell will see Littler guarantee himself at least £35,000.
The money grows even bigger after that with quarter-finalists earning £50,000 and semi-finalists earning double that.

If Littler makes it all the way through to the final, he'll receive an eye-watering £200,000 prize as the tournament runner-up.
And winning the whole thing would see Littler cash in a whopping £500,000.
Littler has already earned a good living from being on the PDC Development Tour, where he won just over £30,000 from winning five separate events as well as the World Youth Championships in November.

But the Warrington-born darts ace has a way to go to catch the sport's richest stars.
Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld, Gary Anderson and Peter Wright are among several players who count themselves as multi-millionaires.
Littler will get his first real taste of the sport's riches next year after earning his PDC Tour Card for the 2024-25 season.
