Travis Kelce vanished from the public eye following the Kansas City Chiefs' devastating 40-22 Super Bowl LIX defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles amid rumours he could retire.
The legendary tight end's popular podcast, New Heights, announced an unexpected break on Tuesday, fuelling speculation about his future in the NFL.
"No new episode this week, but WE'LL BE BACK with offseason episodes and amazing guests soon," the podcast's social media account stated.
The announcement comes after an emotional discussion about his future with brother Jason in last week's episode, which left fans questioning whether the star player would return for another season.

Kelce has been vocal about the physical toll of his successful NFL career, particularly the impact of extended seasons.
"The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and these Super Bowls, that means I'm playing an extra three games than everybody else in the entire league," Kelce said in his recent podcast.
He emphasised the gruelling nature of the schedule, stating: "That's a lot of wear and tear on your body and it's a lot of time spent in the building, focusing on your craft."
The tight end admitted the process had been particularly challenging this season.
"Right now it was one of those things where it was driving me crazy this year. It happens as you tail off towards the back nine of your career," he revealed.

Kelce has remained non-committal about his future in the NFL, carefully avoiding any definitive statements.
"I know everybody wants to know whether or not I'm playing next year, and right now I'm just kicking everything down the road. I'm kicking every can I can down the road," he said.
The veteran player emphasised his focus remains on supporting his teammates and coaches.

"I'm not making any crazy decisions [yet]," Kelce insisted.
"Right now the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding there's a lot that goes into this thing.
"When you feel yourself not have the success that you used to have, it's a tough pill to swallow."
Sources indicate Kelce and Swift are planning to take advantage of their newfound free time together.

"They are looking forward to enjoying some downtime," a source told Page Six.
"They knew that Taylor's Eras Tour would be wrapping in December and football season would be coming to an end now so they had planned for this time."
The couple reportedly intends to use this period for reflection and rest.
"Taylor and Travis are going to take some time away to vacation with just the two of them, talk about their future and just relax," the source added.
"It's going to be easier now to find time to go over plans and make sure everything aligns," another insider told Us Weekly.
