The 35-year-old is yet to announce his intentions but his brother, Jason Kelce, thinks a decision has already been made

Jason Kelce believes his brother Travis has likely already made a decision about his NFL future, despite not announcing it publicly.

The former Philadelphia Eagles centre shared his thoughts on The Steam Room about his younger brother's potential retirement from the Kansas City Chiefs.

"I think Travis, I think he probably, in his heart, already knows what he wants to do," Jason said.

The elder Kelce suggested that whilst they have discussed the matter, Travis's approach to such decisions tends to be more straightforward than his own.

Jason explained how their decision-making processes differ, particularly when facing major career choices.

"We're very similar people, but we also have different ways of thinking about things," Jason added.

He noted his own tendency to overanalyse situations, contrasting it with Travis's more direct approach.

"Sometimes I can way overanalyse situations, and any big decision I'm having in my life I'll think about the negatives and what about this or that," he explained.

"And my brother has this way of being like, 'Hey man, you want to play or you don't want to play.'"

Travis Kelce addressed his future following the Super Bowl, acknowledging the weight of his decision.

"It's just a tough reality," the Chiefs tight end said.

He emphasised the importance of taking time to consider his options carefully after his side's failure to win the prize for the third year on the trot.

"I think I'm going to take some time to figure it out," Kelce said.

"I think I owe it to my team-mates that if I do come back, that it's going to be something that it's a wholehearted decision and I'm not half-**ing it.

"I think I could play. It's just whether or not I'm motivated or it's the best decision for me as a man."

Should Travis decide to retire, he would become eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2030.

Jason indicated that whilst they will continue to discuss the matter, Travis's decision-making process will likely remain uncomplicated.

"I'm sure we will talk about it. We've already talked about it a little bit, and I'm sure he's going to go through a process of figuring that out," Jason said.

Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Travis' girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, will support the Chiefs star no matter what he decides.

She is also unlikely to perform at a Super Bowl halftime show while her other half continues to play the sport.
