Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid has downplayed his spat with Travis Kelce during his side's Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
The Chiefs retained the prize with a 25-22 victory in Las Vegas.
Kelce was jubilant after the game, kissing pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift as he basked in the glory of his latest achievement.
Yet there was controversy when the 34-year-old screamed in the face of head coach Reid, nearly sending the 65-year-old to the floor.

Reid has now addressed the incident, which marred Sunday's blockbuster event in Sin City.
And the Chiefs coach has downplayed their clash, saying: “He caught me off balance, I wasn’t watching. Cheap shot, but that’s all right.
“He did good. He was really coming over to go, ‘Just put me in. I’ll score. I’ll score.’
"So that’s really what it was. But I love that. It’s not the first time — so listen, I appreciate him.”
He continued: “The part I love is he loves to play the game, and he wants to help his team win.
“It’s not a selfish thing.
"That’s not what it is, and I understand that.
"As much as he bumps into me, I get after him. And we understand that. He just caught me off balance.”
Kelce lavished praise on Reid following the Chiefs' Super Bowl triumph, lauding the 65-year-old as the greatest coach in NFL history.
“He’s unbelievable,” said the veteran, who had previously won the trophy in 2020 and 2023.
"And not only dialling up plays and having everybody prepared.
"He’s one of the best leaders of men that I’ve ever seen in my life.
"He’s helped me a lot with that... with channelling that emotion, with channelling that passion.
“I owe my entire career to that guy — and being able to control how emotional I get.
“I just love him, man.”

Patrick Mahomes said similar, with the 28-year-old saying: "He's one of the best coaches of all time, I believe he's the best coach of all time.
"I know he doesn't have the trophies yet, but the way he's able to navigate every single team he has, continue to have success no matter where he's at.
"I don't think I'd be the quarterback that I am if I didn't have coach Reid as my head coach."
Kelce, meanwhile, wants the Chiefs to go again and win the Super Bowl for the third year on the trot in 2025.
"We've been fighting for this all year," he continued.
