'F*** Rory' - Secret LIV Golfer goes berserk but gets shut down over hidden identity
PA
Rory McIlroy has become a divisive figure on the LIV Golf circuit with some bridges now burnt with his fellow professionals.
An unnamed LIV Golfer has launched an astonishing attack on Rory McIlroy and accused the Northern Irishman of selfish reasons for sticking with the PGA Tour as opposed to jumping ship like some of his fellow professionals.
McIlroy emerged as the unofficial spokesperson for the PGA Tour after the emergence of LIV Golf as he led the fight to keep the sport from breaking up.
The three-time major champion claimed earlier this year that he would rather retire than play LIV Golf.
He's also been very vocal against some of the players who have jumped ship to the Saudi-funded golf league.

McIlroy has earned the respect of many of his fellow PGA Tour professionals with the likes of Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas and Max Homa all praising their rival for his stance.
But McIlroy has burnt some bridges with those who left for LIV Golf and it appears as though that bad blood is very much still present.
Golf reporter Alan Shipnuck has released a new book, LIV and Let Die, which features quotes attributed to a LIV Golfer who holds no punches in calling out McIlroy.
“F*** Rory,” a former Ryder Cup teammate of McIlroy's said.
“I’m so sick of hearing about how he’s some kind of hero who is saving golf.
"He’s bought and paid for like everybody else, it’s just that his money is coming from the other side.
"Did you know that when Whoop [the personal fitness device] wanted to do a deal with the PGA Tour, the Tour insisted that Rory be one of the endorsers? He was given a $10 million equity stake that is now worth $200 million.
"How do you think he got his own deal with NBC? The Tour brokered that, too. The Tour is so reliant on Rory now they’ve given him his own league [the TGL], even though it will compete with the Tour for viewers and advertisers.
"Rory’s fighting so hard for the Tour because he wants to preserve his revenue streams, not because he cares about the Tour itself.
"That he is being held up as some kind of savior on Twitter and by all the fanboys with their s****y podcasts tells you how little people really understand what’s going on.”
The explosive comments were put to McIlroy's manager, Sean O'Flaherty, who hit back by asking for the identity of the said golfer.
But Shipnuck didn't give up the name as the LIV Golfer had spoken on the condition of anonymity.
