Ronnie O'Sullivan has called the Alexandra Palace "disgusting" and "dirty" at the 2024 Masters.

Ronnie O'Sullivan's latest outburst at the Masters has seen some fans turn on the snooker icon, with several people tired of his "moaning".

O'Sullivan has been outspoken throughout his snooker career and has sometimes been regarded as a martyr for his comments.

Former World Snooker Tour (WST) chairman Barry Hearn has had his fair share of run-ins with O'Sullivan over remarks made by the seven-time world champion.

O'Sullivan's honesty and boldness to speak his mind has only helped endear himself to his fan base.

But it appears as though that charm is wearing thin with some spectators at this year's Masters following his latest outburst.

The 48-year-old has claimed the Alexandra Palace makes him "feel ill" and that the venue gives him the "heebie-jeebies".

The WST issued a quick response to O'Sullivan's comments, stating: "All other players have spoken with unanimous positivity about the venue."

And O'Sullivan may have lost some fans for his latest remarks, with a few unhappy about the snooker legend's groans.

One fan wrote: "Used to think Ronnie O’Sullivan was great, but now, f*** me, he’s just a moaning bastard who constantly complains or bemoans himself even when he wins."

Another angrily posted: "When is he going to stop complaining? If you don’t like it, don’t f**king play there!!"

A third said: "He's such a bore. Why didn't he just retire if he hates it so much?"

A fourth fumed: "As great as he is, he’s never had any class."

Another raged: "Love watching him play, hate listening to him. Moans more than Klopp."

One other person groaned: "Another day another Ronnie moan up. Genius of a player, but my god he doesn't half moan."

Speaking before the Masters, O'Sullivan also complained about the "rowdy atmosphere" at the Alexandra Palace.

“The Masters is hard because it's a bit rowdy and I don't really like the rowdiness," he said.

"It is sort of like, if I was to go out on a night out, I would choose a quiet place where I could just sit and relax.

“Playing snooker in a rowdy atmosphere is like my worst nightmare, but you have to get your head around it, go out there, perform, play and try to block it out in some sort of way.

"You kind of get in your own little bubble. I find it quite difficult but you know, you have to adapt.”
