The Rocket secured his second title of the year with victory in Leicester on Sunday

Ronnie O'Sullivan was snapped celebrating with Ivan Toney after beating Judd Trump in the final of the World Grand Prix on Sunday.

The 48-year-old had gone into the competition on a high after recently overcoming Ali Carter to secure glory at the Masters.

O'Sullivan initially struggled against Trump, falling 4-0 down as he struggled to find his usual form.

But the Briton then came roaring back to claim victory and add yet another trophy to his impressive, growing collection.

After his win, O'Sullivan was pictured celebrating with Brentford hitman Ivan Toney.

The Rocket's father, Ronnie O'Sullivan Snr, took to X to share images of the pair smiling together.

Toney recently served an eight-month ban for betting offences, having breached FA rules.

But he made an instant impact on his return to action, netting a fine free-kick as Brentford beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 on Saturday night.

O'Sullivan and Toney seemed happy to be in each other's company, while fans on the platform also reacted to the snap.

"Your son is just incredible Ron but a nice break now I think for him," said one user.

A second joked: "Is that a new boy band.

"Happy times great memories Ron," were the words of a third.

A fourth reacted by saying: "Congratulations Ronnie. Wow what an achievement."

And a fifth said 'your boy' while accompanying their post with a clapping and trophy emoji.

“That wasn’t at a professional level, but it wasn’t just in Northampton where I grew up, but all over.

"He was decent at snooker, a good player – Ivan senior will like me saying that!

"From what I understand he wasn’t a million miles off getting to pro level, but lost a few key matches and it went on the back burner.

“But after seeing him play I am sure he made centuries, and he would have been better and stronger back then.

"So I started playing snooker, and when I found it a bit too hard and the table a bit too big I started playing a lot of pool."

"He is aggressive every shot and wants to pot every ball - that’s what I like.

"He says what he wants, but he backs it up by winning everything."
