Patrick Mahomes has admitted that his second Super Bowl loss of his career will stick with him 'for the rest of his career' after the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Super Bowl LIX was a repeat of two years ago when Mahomes helped the Chiefs recorded a dramatic 38-35 win.
But it was a different outcome this time around as the Eagles demolished Kansas City in a one-sided blowout victory.
The Chiefs failed to score in the first half as they trailed 24-0 in the second-biggest deficit in the history of the Super Bowl.

The game was already won at that point with Philadelphia taking their foot off the gas to eventually win 40-22.
Mahomes is now 3-2 in Super Bowls with his first defeat in the showpiece event coming back in 2020 to Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brady himself lost three Super Bowls in his career to go along with his seven rings and admitted on Sunday that the defeats stick with him more than the triumphs.
And Mahomes appears to agree with Brady's comments, admitting it will be tough to get over his latest setback.
"Credit to the Eagles man," Mahomes said.
"They played better than us from start to finish.
"We didn't start how we wanted to. Obviously the turnovers hurt and I take all the blame for that.
"Those early turnovers swing the momentum of the game and they capitalised. They scored on one and then they got a touchdown immediately after.

Reuters"That's 14 points that I sort of gave them and it's hard to come back from that in the Super Bowl.
"Just didn't play to my standard and I have to be better next time."
He added: "There's no way around it. Anytime you lose a Super Bowl, it's the worst thing in the world. It will stick with you for the rest of your career.

"I mean these will be the two losses that will motivate me to be even better, for the rest of my career.
"You only get so few of these [Super Bowls], and you have to capitalise on them and it probably hurts more than the wins feel good.
"It's going to hurt for a while, but how can you respond from it?"
